I have a Gemini Apollo saw…it was recommended to put a touch of baby oil on the glides. I used the same oil on the top of the metal parts( blade cover etc), and also treated the metal parts ( those that don’t touch the glass) on my Belt sander. Really reduced the rust issue.

Al, I am loving your Drop vessels. Am in the journey of making them. While I’ve figured out the formula for success for the Aperture wrt the disc size, I feel I am always guestimating the height of the Drop. Have been lucky so far, as have been conservative in the Drops I set up. But trying to not waste the discs’ ability to drop. Do you have a formula of Disc size+ thickness to aperture and drop height? Hope my question makes sense. Basically, I want to squeeze the tallest Drop possible with the blank. I have made blanks in various sizes and thicknesses as I experiment.
