One-of-a-Kind Glass Chain Hanging Sculpture

This glass chain carries a strong sense of seasonal emergence—fresh greens, pale blues, and warm amber punctuated by moments of violet and orange. The palette feels botanical and atmospheric, as if moving through layers of growth, water, and light.

Several links feature circular and oval forms embedded within translucent fields, some reading as cellular or floral, others as concentric markers suspended beneath the surface. Bright chartreuse passages alternate with cooler blue and aqua elements, creating a gentle oscillation between warmth and calm. Near the lower portion, a vivid orange-centered form anchors the sequence before the chain resolves again into luminous green glass.

Internal bubbles, layered edges, and visible transitions between opaque and transparent glass emphasize depth and process. The rhythm is measured rather than dramatic—each link distinct, yet clearly part of a cohesive progression.

Each element began as part of a vessel, then was cut, refired, and cold-worked into its final form. Darkened metal connections allow the chain to hang freely and respond subtly to air, activating the piece without interrupting its quiet flow.

Designed to be suspended in open space, where shifting light reveals the work’s changing character throughout the day.
