One-of-a-Kind Glass Chain Hanging Sculpture
This glass chain explores darker tones and inward-looking forms. Charcoal, smoke, deep violet, and muted blue move through the sequence, punctuated by concentric, eye-like elements that appear embedded beneath the surface. Several links feel geological or anatomical—layered, compressed, and quietly intense.
The palette remains restrained, allowing subtle shifts in translucency and internal pattern to carry the work. A single violet accent emerges mid-chain, then recedes back into shadow, creating a measured visual pulse as the eye travels downward. Internal markings and bubbles remain visible, emphasizing depth and process rather than surface polish.
Each link originated as part of a vessel and was cut, refired, and cold-worked into its final form. Darkened metal connections allow the chain to hang freely and move gently with air, giving the piece a slow, deliberate rhythm.
This work is designed to be suspended in open space, where low light and contrast reveal its quieter details.
