One-of-a-Kind Glass Chain Hanging Sculpture
This glass chain is anchored by warmth and repetition. Saturated amber and honey tones dominate the sequence, interrupted by moments of translucence and a single, eye-like circular form that draws the viewer inward. The palette feels geological—layered, compressed, and luminous.
Several links contain folded or striated amber glass, giving the impression of movement captured mid-flow. Others open into clearer fields where internal lines, bubbles, and subtle inclusions remain visible. The progression down the chain feels intentional: dense and glowing at the top, opening and resolving into a quieter, grounded form at the base.
Each element began as part of a vessel and was cut, refired, and cold-worked into its final shape. Darkened metal connections allow the chain to hang freely and respond gently to air, activating the work without disturbing its structure.
This piece is meant to be suspended in open space, where light can pass through and the amber tones can fully glow.
