Ember Sequence

One-of-a-Kind Glass Chain Hanging Sculpture

This glass chain is driven by warmth and motion. Layers of amber, rust, and honey tones move through clear and milky glass, punctuated by graphic circular forms and swirling internal lines. Several links feel animated—like captured movement—while others pause into quieter, more grounded shapes.

The sequence alternates between clarity and density. Some elements reveal folded or striated interiors, while others open into translucent fields that allow light to pass cleanly through. Eye-like murrini and concentric details appear and reappear, giving the chain a steady visual pulse from top to bottom.

Each link originated as part of a vessel and was cut, refired, and cold-worked into its present form. Darkened metal connections allow the piece to hang freely and respond gently to air, activating the work without disturbing its rhythm.

Designed to be suspended in open space, where light can ignite the warmer tones and reveal the depth beneath the surface.
